Cecelia has been very into cooking lately.  She was so excited today because I said she could make her own pie.  Here is our proud chef Cecelia with her first pie :).  It was a YUMMY apple pie!

I am going to be an aunt again!   Ben and Aimee are expecting their second kiddo in March!  Woo Hoo!  That will be 9 grand kids in 9 years for my mom and Dale!  What can I say, we make cute kids.....

Sleeping Sylvia

Thunder storms have been a very scary thought for the girls lately.  With rain, fireworks, a house fire (not ours, but a block away), and other loud noises, Sylvia especially has had a very difficult time sleeping.  Tonight there was a storm in the distance and she was especially tired.  She would not go to sleep.  I decided to crawl in bed with her and that seemed to do the trick.  After about 5 minutes she was asleep.  I could have gotten up, but something about cuddling next to her made me stay awhile.  She always seems to try to crawl inside you. like she just can get close enough.  She puts her nose against yours and rubs her cheek to give kisses.  She brushes her little hand  across your cheek then lets it rest behind your neck just to check that you are still there and make sure you can't leave.  It is so sweet and I hope she stays scared of storms for just a little longer so I can have the pleasure of a few more cuddles!

I'm NOT a dance MOM!

Just to reiterate the post from the girl's dance recital, I AM NOT A DANCE MOM!!  I think I got dirty looks when I said I didn't want the photos they took at class and I didn't want a class photo either because my kids wouldn't know any of the others anyway.  I know the were words said about how I would "regret this someday".  My answer, "Na-na-na-na-na-na, my pictures are better than yours!"  No stiff smiles, no overdone make up, no ugly backgrounds, just a bunch of beautiful, natural pics of my bella ballerinas!  Now if only I had the DSLR to take pics!

Fourth of July

We had fun seeing family and friends at 3 get togethers.  At the first we saw my cousins Jessica and Jackie.  I was slacking on the picture taking and don't have a pic of Jess.  Jackie and I continue to have the same taste even hours away from each other.  Notice the matching bags and same sandals!  The girls had the most ridiculous bows that were as big as their heads.  Ok, so I made them that way because it is my job as mom to make sure they are embarrassed someday!They were more popular with the adults than the kids!  Cecelia and Lydia were very proud of their cake!  Sylvia now wants a dog tanks to Woogie, Um no....

Zachary's Playground

We met with a group of kiddos at Zachary's playground today.  One of our last activities before I have to go back to work :(.  If you have never been, it is a great playground that is accessible to even people who use wheelchairs!  We were there for 5 HOURS, and even then the girls didn't want to leave.  Check it out on the link below.

Abracadabra

So for ths story you need a little background.   Today we went to see a magician in the morning at a library program.  Afterwords, Ryder came with Sandy and Bob, and of course that means another excuse for the Rosa family to get together.  While were were eating the kiddos played outside in the pool.  Sylvia didn't want to swim, but discovered cookies.  Well, when the others saw that of course they wanted some too. 

Cecelia came inside and said, "May I have a cookie." 

My response was, "Did you forget the magic word?" 

In a very serious voice, she came back with, "Abracadabra?" 

We all had a good laugh and let her have the cookie!
